Since partnering with Rich Reid in 2002 to form the infamous Goldmembers (now part of Team NYARA, the artists formerly known as Goldmembers), Ed has finally realized that compasses should be trusted, hydration should be taken seriously and that enjoying the journey is just as important as arriving at the destination. He and other NYARA teammates (Reid, Kerlin, Settembrini and even the controversial Fleisig on occasion) have partnered up over the years to participate in numerous sprint, 12 hour, 24 hr and 24 hr + adventures highlights include:
- 2002 Balance Bar 24 Hrs of NY - 5th Place All-Male
- 2004 Mega Dose
- 2006 NYARA SHAG 24 Hr First Place
- 2006 Genesis Adventure Series Series Champions Male Division
- 2007 NYARA Longest Day First Place All Male

Other interests include mountain biking, climbing, skiing, trail running and a strong desire to stop hating the paddling sections of races.
